This article looks really nice, but there are a couple of small issues that need to be addressed. Once these are taken care of, the article should be good to go for GA status. Please let me know if you have any questions. Dana boomer (talk) 23:49, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

missing references to MDA
[edit]This page lacks any reference to the U.S. Missile Defense Agency's role in the program (MDA oversees the U.S. funding for Arrow as part of its broader missile defense portfolio). This is a major oversight and should be corrected. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.35.35.34 (talk) 18:22, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

100 people personnel
[edit]The article mentions it requires a crew of 100 people to operate the system. Even including all technical staff, this figure is about 4 or 5 times too big. 93.173.147.221 (talk) 09:44, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

Arrow (missile) → Arrow (Israeli missile) – There's also Arrow (Russian missile), about a Soviet missile, which would be familiar under its NATO reporting name, so as this missile requires disambiguation it should have enough precision to determine which subject it is about. The name "Arrow (missile)" would redirect to the main disambiguation page Arrow (disambiguation) 65.92.181.190 (talk) 14:08, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Survey
[edit]- Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with
*'''Support'''
or*'''Oppose'''
, then sign your comment with~~~~
. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's policy on article titles.
- Weak Support. Why not? Flayer (talk) 17:23, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
- Modest Support - is it the primary topic? The article name could be mistaken for the pointy stick thing fired from a bow. GraemeLeggett (talk) 17:52, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Any additional comments:
Technically, the arrow (of bows and arrows) is also a type of missile, since archers are a type of missile troops in classical and medieval armies. -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 03:54, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Two numberings of footnotes
[edit]I do not understand why their numbering restarts at the second column.
- I know it is too early and people will probably not even have read the message above, but would it be OK to convert footnotes to, say, {{Efn}} and {{Notelist}} templates, perhaps with {{Notelist |64em}} to keep two columns in wide enough displays?
The reason the numbering restarted is that there was a group=x and a group=y each group had different numberings. I changed all the footnotes to group="Note" so they are numbered 1 to 5. I don't see a need to redo everything with efn and notelist for the purpose of column widths, but that's just me. Everyone has a different screen width and font size so how it looks on your screen is not the same as everyone else. --Dual Freq (talk) 21:54, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
- Precisely my point, 64em makes for adjustment. Granted Notelist is not needed for that. On the other hand, I find it more pleasing if footnotes are denoted by simple letters instead of ‘x #’, and that in the references section they are not numbered the same as citations. But that is just me, too? We could just change group = "Note" to group = lower-alpha and it would be done.

Conflation of Arrow (1) and Arrow missile family
[edit]I have moved the page from Arrow (Israeli missile) to Arrow (Israeli missile family). Arrow (later Arrow 1) was more of a technology demonstrator. However, this article needs some revisions to get rid of this conflation: for example, Arrow doesn't have fixed specifications because it is not an individual missile. This section should be replaced. Zagreus99 (talk) 20:07, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
