Creating Articles
[edit]Good work creating new articles. When you create things, it helps tremendously to assign them to an accurate category (see WP:CG for info). If you're really not sure about categories, at least assign your new articles a stub category (see WP:SC for info). By assigning a category, you help make sure your new articles don't get lost as 'orphans' that are not associated with related topics. Feco 19:44, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Sculpture
[edit]I took the picture at the golden gate park, I'm not sure exactly where, but it was outside of a museum and it had a lot more sculptures around it.

A tag has been placed on The Little Ones (band), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hoolio 00:01, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
I removed the prod, of course--even I know this one, & what I like to do best around here is stopping this sort of nonsense. Google gave hundreds of ghits for recordings made there, including the musicians mentioned. (there is also one named after it in Madison--it too might be notable, judging by the ghits)
- but , since you seem to know about this, why dont you write a proper article with the links to all the performers, so the people running around here trying to remove all short articles wont try again--and for the benefit of everyone who reads it. . DGG 06:14, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Are you familiar with WP:MUSIC? I don't think you're there at this point, but I think you're making a claim of notability (and therefore this isn't speedy deletion material). I'd suggest looking for reliable sources you can add that might establish one or more of the things listed in the notability guideline I linked above. Erechtheus 04:59, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- I actually try not to consider whether somebody is experienced or not because it seems to me that it's just much easier to assume good faith when you give folks the benefit of the doubt and assume they may not be familiar with policy/guidelines. In addition, I read your comment to be seeking guidance. I still don't see anything in WP:MUSIC that gets where it looks like you were going -- I think you're getting close to a statement that they're the most influential member of the San Francisco bands. That's really not a huge deal to me, though. It appears you work regularly in this area and that you have contemplated my concern. That's enough for me. Happy editing. Excellent. Just remember, as a general rule, before you add something to an article, you should have the source already. Usually the only exceptions are facts that are considered "common knowledge". Usually, most misunderstandings occur over the definition of this so-called "common knowledge". Mipchunk 02:22, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
