Welcome
[edit]Good morning, cheers, and welcome to Wikipedia! Its always a pleasure to have another editor start up — can never have too many good editors.
Some useful stuff/Things to remember:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Opentasks — These are important things that aren't getting done. We need your help with them.
- Tutorial — What you need to know about editing pages.
- Test area — If you need to test an edit but don't want to do it on an article.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- As you mature as an editor, the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines will become more important.
- Always Always Always try to maintain a Neutral point of view when you're editing.
- Try not to be anonymous. Sign your posts (like I did this one), by using the tilde '~' symbol. Three tildes (~~~) leaves your username, four (~~~~) leaves your username, plus the timestamp.
- Be bold in editing pages.
- A happy editor is an excellent editor. Enjoy yourself!

Your admin request
[edit]Is this a serious nomination? You haven't answered the questions, written anything about yourself, you've made less than 10 edits all up!!! This will be quickly voted down I'm afraid. Harro5 04:28, May 26, 2005 (UTC)
My apologies if anyone else has hassled you for your adminship self-nomination. Please understand that the bar for being adminship is very high (1,000 edits, a hundred times as many as you have made), and many Wikipedians will not support a user who doesn't have at least six months experience and 2,000 edits, and their standards are usually even higher for self-nominations. Unfortunately, your nomination is going to fail, and many users support removing it from the nomination subpage. If you are interested in adminship, I recommend that you keep editing: do some good work, and when you've been around for a while and done many high-quality edits, you can renominate yourself. Odds are, if you have a decent résumé, you'll get the job. Cheers, →Iñgōlemo← talk 06:20, 2005 May 26 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Bluejean. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Bluejean~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
