Merge and rewrite as part of SnowboardingTranswiki Wyss 22:52, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)- Hmmm, Wikibooks? It's a guide, and guides aren't usually part of any of the encyclopedia articles so far, so I'm not sure that a merge, at least in this form, is the best idea. Geogre 01:15, 15 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Good idea. As it is written in the second person and is rather guide-like in nature, I think a transwiki to Wikibooks is in order. Then link to it from snowboarding. [[User:Livajo|Ливай | ☺]] 01:20, 15 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- I agree with moving it to Wikibooks. It's a well written, informative piece, and definitely has a place over there. Hn 00:15, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- I support move. --Wikimol 17:14, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- I didn't really see anything in the deletion guide or list of precedents that applies here, one way or the other. (The closest I saw was maybe Products, which are OK, as long as they're not rumored future products.) My problem with moving it out of Wikipedia is that of precedent: is all how-to material out? The Snowboarding page, for example, consists in large part of "how to snowboard" and "how to do tricks"; would these be moved, too? Also, the page in question has almost no mention of retailers or manufacturers, which makes it seem a bit more encyclopedic to me. So I could go either way, but I don't see a compelling reason to change from where it lives now. --(sorry, going to pick a name real soon now...)
