This article was added to the main VfD page about three hours ago, but the user hasn't explained the nomination, nor added a VfD tag to the article. The article is basically a cut&paste from the Transportation section of the (public domain) CIA World Factbook, with Wikification. It was created Feb 2002, and while it could use some cleanup (ie it could use an intro, plus it gives 1999 numbers even tho' some 2003 ones are now available), the main Sudan article is big enuf, it seems reasonable to me to leave this as a stand-alone page. So my vote is to Keep (I just can't stand having red links on the VfD page), and possibly send to cleanup if it isn't in better shape by the end of five days Niteowlneils 23:32, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- There is a Transportation in xxx page for almost every country in the world, copied from the World Factbook, just like all of the other sub-articles on all of the other countries in the world. Let's not start deleting all of them, there are hundreds. RickK 05:46, Oct 16, 2004 (UTC)
- I suppose the originator of the deletion request has been deceived by vandalizing of the page : when the link on the VfD page appeared, Transportation in Sudan had been blanked and was empty. I reverted the missing text, so I suppose the request for deletion is now obsolete --French Tourist 11:56, 16 Oct 2004 (UTC)

- Keep. Going by User:French Tourist's comment above, this should be removed from VfD, and if there isn't a policy for it, there should be! -- Chuq 21:57, 19 Oct 2004 (UTC)
