Mole citations
[edit]You said google search is not a valid reference. That was google scholar… On the missing citation banner it has a link to send you to google scholar
Also, I’m new here, and you aren’t really helping out… 2A02:C7C:368E:8100:5115:4C0C:C157:AAB6 (talk) 11:45, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Google scholar is just a form of google search. It returns a list of things. Which of those things did you want as a reference? It's impossible to tell. And the list changes depending on who is searching, where they are searching from, and when they are searching. - UtherSRG (talk) 11:47, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- So, if I can’t use google search, how can I find other online sources? 2A02:C7C:368E:8100:5115:4C0C:C157:AAB6 (talk) 12:17, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- You can find them that way, but you then need to drill down into the appropriate ref, ensure that it says what you are attempting to support in the article, and use the link to the specific reference itself. And again, please read WP:RS. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:24, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks.
- However, one more thing: on the wood pigeon article you removed my citations because ’google search itself is not a valid reference. Which of the results? Searched when?
- What do you mean by which and when? It seems like you just removed them simply because they where found using google search 2A02:C7C:368E:8100:5115:4C0C:C157:AAB6 (talk) 14:32, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Same issue we just talked about. You can't just point to a search in Google, you have to cite a specific reference. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:50, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- That’s what I did with the Wood Pigeon citations? Honestly, let’s just end it here. I don’t think it’s worth it to argue anymore… 2A02:C7C:368E:8100:5115:4C0C:C157:AAB6 (talk) 15:14, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

Invitation to participate in a research
[edit]Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,

why exactly is the fine part needed?
[edit]it seems very irrelevant, so why exactly is it there? 19:23, 23 October 2024 (UTC) 207.192.195.114 (talk) 19:23, 23 October 2024 (UTC)

Why do we only use automatic taxobox?
[edit]For some reason we only use {{automatic taxobox}}
instead of {{taxobox}}
for some reason I don’t know why and it don’t know. Atlas Þə Biologist (talk) 01:37, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
