Delete. Why do so many people put their marketing spew on the Wikipedia? Is this some sort of free public billboard? Don't they know that they'd have an easier time getting their articles accepted if they adhered to a NPOV? Maybe they hope nobody will notice. --Ardonik 03:39, Jul 16, 2004 (UTC)
I guess people spew ads here because they're too cheap to buy real advertising or they hope that no one will notice that they've turned a reference work into a classified ad. Delete. - Lucky 6.9 06:29, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Actually, I think it's all about Google, for the smart ones. They're trying to increase page rank. Let's say you make Homeplug, then you go to every related article and insert a link to Homeplug and/or the Homeplug website.... The dumb ones, on the other hand, are just dumb ones & may well not understand what an encyclopedia is. How many times have we seen, "But it's true, and all true things fit here" as a defense?
