I can't seem to find information that indicates that Yes Minister or Steptoe and Son were previously radio shows?

I added that because BBC7 radio were doing reruns. However, the BBC7 Yes Minister website isn't very helpful :( --Steinsky 13:48, 6 Feb 2004 (UTC)

(same goes for Steptoe and Son)

By "reruns" do you mean playing the audio of a tv show on the radio? I must admit that years ago they did this for Yes, Minister on the radio here in Australia, but I'm not sure that makes them radio comedy. Perhaps we could put a note next to such entries on the list. eg: "(tv show audio)"

They were re-recordings of TV shows for radio. They also did this for Dad's Army, where the scripts had to be altered slightly to remove some of the visual humour. JW 23:21, 22 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Lead sentence

I added a summarizing lead sentence, but it duplicates some info in the Background & History section, so it would be good if someone could clean that up.

Radio comedy, or comedic radio programming, is a radio broadcast that may involve sitcom elements, sketches or any other form of comedy found on other mediums.

Except silent forms, e.g., sight gags. I know, it's a pendantic point, but that sentence could be more precise.

I replaced "any other" with "many other", and added a bit about the advantages of radio comedy. I'm not sure it's right for the introduction though - it might be better in its own paragraph with a more detailed analysis of the pros and cons of the medium. this section seems to me to make no sense. I don't even really understand it.
