Coordination with Wiktionary
[edit]As a guest, I thought I'd point out that Wikipedia and Wiktionary appear not to be synchronized on the meaning(s) of the term dandruff. Wikipedia identifies dandruff only as the name of a medical condition, whereas Wiktionary defines the word only as the actual flakes that form due to this condition. 64.20.196.227 (talk) 21:30, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
Misinformation
[edit]Based on the German version of this article, I believe the English article contains misinformation. It appears to be false that dandruff is exclusively caused by a fungus, that is only one possible cause. The article contradicts itself, too, when stating the causes of dandruff are unknown - it says in the previous paragraph the cause is a fungus? The source for this is a website that cites 'modern science' as a source without giving any scientific papers to support this claim. I believe both the article itself and the sources require a review. GermanBreadCulture (talk) 01:03, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- At this point in time, I see a few things.
- The article lists multiple causes
- The article does not say that the causes are unknown. Unclear=/=unknown.
- I see no problems with the vast majority of sources. I could not find WebMD or Medical News Today, on the reliable sources list, but I agree that better ones are needed.
- I will remove the tags unless others believe that it is appropriate to restore them. Tireauclaire (talk) 21:39, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
