User talk:Nakednerd
Hi! Please don't begin "coming soon" articles like the one at "Kefka's Revenge" nor add links at an existing page. When info on the game is released, please do the article then. Thanks. Lucky 6.9 02:51, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
- Once more: Please do not create articles whose sole content is "coming soon." Also, removing speedy delete notices is a really huge no-no. - Lucky 6.9 02:53, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
I'M GONNA ADAGIO YER ASS STRAIGHT TO NICE.
Oh, really...? One more personal attack like that and I'll run you up on the RfC page so fast you won't know what hit you. - Lucky 6.9 17:59, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
That was a comment to NakedNerd, a person I know, not you. Sorry for the confusion.
- Cool beans. Thanks for letting me know. - Lucky 6.9 07:31, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
"Just remember, if you delete this, you delete my PRIDE and ESTEEM as well."- Chill out, man. I think most people would find it quite sad if your entire self-image is based around whether a wikipedia page about your homegrown videogame mod (not even a full game) is deleted or not. I know I do. --Trypa Party 03:04, May 3, 2005 (UTC)
Suggestion: Move the info to your user page. The game isn't worth an article - at least not yet - and your user page is pretty much yours to do with as you wish. Right now, yours is a bit thin. :) - Lucky 6.9 07:31, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
- OK, once more. Deep breath...find the center...there. All better. Now that I have your attention, may I ask you on a personal level to please reconsider your decisions to leave the site and abandon your article? I left word on the VfD page for you. Take a look when you have a moment. Best, Lucky 6.9 22:10, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
- I've left additional word on the VfD page. If you'd prefer to answer privately, by all means please send me an e-mail. Suggestion: Keep in mind what I mentioned about the really dry style this site requires. The article is an entertaining and creative read, but trust me on this: Even if this article stayed, it would only be a matter of time before other editors stepped in to remove the bling. - Lucky 6.9 03:54, 5 May 2005 (UTC)
- "KR is notable enough for me. Why do you care so much?" - Because you are not the sole judge of what belongs on Wikipedia. Marblespire 04:45, 5 May 2005 (UTC)
- Look, man, think of the precedent this would be setting. Do you have any idea how many fangames there are that can claim to be of similar quality and merit to Kefka's Revenge? Not that are, but that can claim to be. What makes this different from all the creative and fanfic projects that I started, or that anyone else does? What makes it inherently better? What makes you so special? Those aren't necessarily rhetorical questions, by the way. If you have valid answers, by all means, this is the place to provide them. DS 17:21, 5 May 2005 (UTC)
Dude, you're awesome. Keep up the good work. I would move the Kefka's Revenge article to a sub-page of your user page in order to preserve it, and then bring it back when/if a better case can be made for "notability". Ultimately, notability is arbitary, because consider Solarquest or Tradewars 2002. The former is out of print, and the latter is a decade old and probably was played by fewer people than the former, but neither of those will get VFD'd (if they did, I would defend them to the death). So what makes a game notable? Commercial sales? I can take any game and sell it commercially. On the other hand, I can take Galaxy Trek and give it away freeware and it's still notable. This is what we call "systemic bias". 24.54.208.177 08:01, 8 May 2005 (UTC)
- I saved the entire article as a large png file (To save the quality), so we'll always have a copy of it. Dooz0 5:34, 22 June 2005
