    • CET is one of the top 20 engineering colleges in India selected by the World Bank and its consultant for the Technical Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), which provides upto Rs 200 Crores of funding to raise each institution to World-class standards. And I believe a premier international organisation's study than hearsay or magazine surveys, wouldn't you? Cheers! Ajaypp (I am here..) 19:41, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • That's right Ajayaprasad, but you must know the fact that in late 80's and early 90's Cet ranked in top 10/15 slot in most of surveys. By this time other colleges invested heavily to build their infrastructure, acdemics etc... which pushed their ranks upper and drags down CET's. college has got many funds from other organisations, but stupid students union in college is not allowing authorities to implement different projects. They don't even allow them to make college autonomous. Petty politics dragged down colleges reputation in all ways. Persons speaking about socialism and communist idealogies at CET urged other fellow students to join their dirty policies, if someone refused it, they'll make them to follow them by physical means, virtually destroyes students future but at the same time they find job in MNC. Which implies that if politics banned from CET then it can regain the reputation in national level which ones it enjoyed...(Nubin_wiki 09:18, 6 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Cet emblem.jpg

[edit]

Image:Cet emblem.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:21, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling correction in motto

[edit]

The motto of the institution was incorrectly stated as "Karma Jyayodhya Karmanah" earlier. It is to be noted that the motto was inspired from the text of Srimad Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 3, Verse 8) http://www.bhagavad-gita.org/Gita/verse-03-08.html

The motto has been corrected to "karma jyayo hy akarmanah", which is the correct way to split the phrases using Sanskrit grammar. When rearranged, the words would read "Hi karma jyayah akarmanah", meaning: 'Since action is superior to inaction".

The earlier error could have been due to the fact that the Devanagari symbol for "Dhya" looks similar to that for "Hya". Please take note of corrected version. Thank you. --Schreiwarduhnn (talk) 18:56, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism regarding footfall of college fests.

[edit]

It came to notice that some members of the community are trying to make changes/edits to the footfall of this college's fest without proper external reference. The article will better stay as old revision, until a properly cited change/edit is made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jilvinjacob (talkcontribs) 19:12, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
