Article SoBe Black & Blue Berry Brew listed on WP:VFD Apr 27 to May 3 2004, consensus was to delete. Discussion:
Delete for exactly the same reasons as SoBe No_Fear. (and thanks for pointing out that superfluous info in the article on Sprite, by the way, DryGrain.) DS 22:21, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Looks like a good, solid article; I see far worse browsing new pages on any given day. It's filled with plain, useful information about the drink. A little history on the drink would be nice, though; these are popular right now, so probably some people know of more to be said about them. Everyking 22:41, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Plain, not useful. Besides, I think it's a copyright violation to transcribe the ingredient label. DS 00:14, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Delete - it's just a copy of the label, nothing useful here. -- Cyrius|✎ 00:35, Apr 28, 2004 (UTC)
- OK, say it wasn't just nutritional data, but also a nice history of the drink. Would you still vote delete? I don't see the logic in voting to delete articles just because they aren't yet what they might become. Everyking 00:44, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- I don't see this drink as having much of a history. I don't foresee any interesting stories about its development involving serendipitous combinations or strange roadside vendors. It's a corporate product, they went into the lab, and started mixing stuff together until they found something that would pass a focus group. -- Cyrius|✎ 00:59, Apr 28, 2004 (UTC)
- It doesn't have to be a good story... What I basically meant was when it was released into the market and its popularity. Everyking 01:25, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Everyking... please, please don't take this the wrong way, but... do you have any affiliation with South Beach? Look, if you know of any interesting info on these drinks, by all means put it in. As it stands, this is just an ineptly-wikified ingredients list. It doesn't have anything like the corporate juggernaut which sprang from Coca-Cola, or the mysterious deaths surrounding Red Bull - we might as well have a separate entry for every flavor of Kool-Aid. DS 02:16, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- I just don't understand why anyone would want to delete information about a popular drink. What is it about ingredients that makes them off-limits in terms of the info we can provide? It seems to me a good article about a drink should tell what the usual ingredients are. Everyking 02:44, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Label listings are not encyclopædic information. Therefore, it is completely absurd to include them in an encyclopædia. One might type up the phone book and include it, but it is just as useless in this context. Perhaps highlights from the ingredients might be listed, or comments about the flavour, but a transcript of the ingredients and nutrition label is not something we need. - Redirect this pages and all others of its ilk to a nice central page and remove nutritional labels. - Fennec 02:45, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. I believe the same consensus has already or almost been reached for these articles and another like them, by the VfD of SoBe No Fear? Falcon 14:12, Apr 28, 2004 (UTC)
- Judgment on one article isn't enough to call a consensus on all of them, and besides, SoBe No Fear survived VfD, so I suppose a consensus was not reached after all. Everyking 16:15, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- It survived? My hypothesis is true - this place is going to the dogs. Falcon 00:49, Apr 29, 2004 (UTC)

- Delete: irrelevant, useless, source text. Delete all articles on flavors of soft drinks. Wile E. Heresiarch 19:58, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. While it is conceivable that there could be a useful online reference that is simply a comprehensive reference to the label listings of virtually every commercial food product, Wikipedia is not that reference, both because few view this kind of material as "encyclopedic," and because there are not enough contributors interested in this sort of work to ever make it comprehensive enough to be useful. Contributors: if know something truly interesting about a specific beverage, please include this information when you create the article; please accept the consensus view that a copy of the label ingredients-and-nutrition-information is not interesting; and please avoid creating these articles until you have something interesting to include. - Interesting? Lots of factual information that is indisputably encyclopedic is also bland data like ingredient lists. I don't judge the worth of an article based on whether I think it is interesting, but whether it could be useful to someone. Everyking 21:31, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- It might be bland information, but when that sort of thing is published, it is usually because it is actually of some significance (usually to science). Tell me if even one of these drinks is in itself notable. Falcon 00:49, Apr 29, 2004 (UTC)
- Well, since they are sold in lots of different places and have become culturally significant, I'd say all of them are. We have articles on people and things less famous than SoBe Black & Blue Berry Brew, which would doubtless be instantly recognized by many thousands of thirsty consumers. Isn't it conceivable that someone might want to compare brands or varieties and might appreciate the level of detail this article provides? Everyking 02:03, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- It is more whether or not something has actual significance. Falcon 03:20, Apr 29, 2004 (UTC)

- Delete, I suppose, though if someone wanted to merge these articles into a SoBe flavors page that would probably be better. -Sean 03:34, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Just wanted to pointed out that SoBe No Fear did not survive VfD - in which case, why should any of the other individual flavors? DS 01:09, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Well, it did briefly survive, but after a few days its time ran out. I lament its passing. Why should we go out of our way to prevent our readers from having access to information? It's one thing if we're just too lazy to add it, but it's quite another to go to all this trouble just to make things difficult for our readers. Everyking 02:25, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- That feels oddly like reverse psychology. DS 02:30, 2 May 2004 (UTC)
