[edit]There should also be a "Hello World Day" in honour of Dennis Ritchie. — JIP | Talk 08:37, Jun 3,2005 (UTC)
Why is this a Middle East related article? While the original conflict was in the Middle East, the holiday today, in its 35th year as of writing, has global significance. kevinthenerd (talk) 01:24, November 22,2007 (UTC)
Ugh, it's a chain letter! Say hello to ten people in the next 24 hours or the world will end! --NE2 00:42, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah it sounds pretty stupid to me. Chaparral2J (talk) 02:44, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- Joe the plumber.. Must he be on this page? 80.100.104.212 (talk) 12:11, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Am I the only one who thinks this is complete bullshit? I think it should be deleted. M. Correia (talk) 16:12, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
I would not worry about the plagiarism (mentioned below). This whole thing (website and Wiki page) sound like the product of the two people mentioned in the article and might best be considered a vanity piece. Jnmwiki (talk) 15:47, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
This isn't "Widely celebrated"
[edit]I'm just finding out about this and it supposedly started in '73? Five and a half years ago, an anonymous user created this page, and we, not knowing if it was vandalism or not, decided to keep it. Or, at leadt that's what I deciphered from viewing the history. I know for a FACT that Celebrities, politicians, religious figures, etc. do NOT celebrate this crap. Also, the first link says that the Dalai Lama celebrates World Hello Day. That needs a source, not just saying it (Unless you are the Dalai Lama). Second link I can't even find it being mentioned at all. I call bullshit on this. Plagiarism Note
[edit]Most or all of the content after the first paragraph appears to be copied from http://www.worldhelloday.org/ , which is listed under External Links but not References. Also I agree with User:Kevinthenerd in that this shouldn't be classified as a Middle-East Related Article. Dhmmjoph (talk) 10:02, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
