Needs attention
[edit]This article has some temporal discrepancies and needs updating. I'm not qualified to make the changes as I don't know the background. --Rhombus 18:27, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- intro checked. personal life checked and expanded. career at enron written. (all as of 4-07-06). i'm not going to check the rest of the article. (anon )
- everything else looks ok and reasonable. it would be more helpful to state the "temporal discrepancies" so that others can check them. (anon_ )
Took out this paragraph, cause I couldn't find a citation for it anywhere. If you find a cite, please add it back in.
"Skilling had a breakdown on the streets of New York City in April 2004. After an evening of excessive drinking he began to harass people on the street and began to accuse total strangers of being part of the FBI. Police responding to the 911 calls found him uncooperative and concluded that he was an "emotionally disturbed person" in need of emergency assistance." Thanks. Jahenderson 18:19, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- put back in (cited) by (anon )
Under the FBP he is scheduled for release on 2/21/2019. http://www.bop.gov/inmateloc/
There is a probable error in the citation of his blood alcohol level as "190 milligrams per decaliter". The correct measurement is "190 milligrams per deciliter" RickBrenner (talk) 16:46, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
Release Date
[edit]Given as 2019 at one point and 2017 in another? Schissel | Sound the Note! 01:52, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
- The early date was based on assumption that he would be paroled (15% reduction) but this has not happened yet by some reason. Ruslik_Zero 20:03, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
Tom Skilling mentioned twice
[edit]The name and occupation of Tom Skilling, the subject's brother, is mentioned twice, first in the Early Life section and again in the Personal Life section. I think one reference should be removed, unless additional relevant information is added to the second reference. Matuko (talk) 13:28, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
- Matuko, the article isn't protected, you're free to make those changes yourself. Boldness is encouraged! ♠PMC♠ (talk) 20:28, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the encouragement, PMC! Edit published. Matuko (talk) 06:24, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
First sentence
[edit]I should note that in the absence of consensus to change the lead from where it was a month ago, I went ahead and changed it back to that state. I also did this because it appeared to me that in the discussion at WP:BLPN, at least @Nomoskedasticity: @Premeditated Chaos: and @Horse Eye's Back: agreed that the long-standing version was fine. If I read any of your opinions on that incorrectly, please let me know here.
For some additional context, because I doubt any other editors are aware of this, there is a long-blocked editor that is IP-hopping and trying to harass me, mostly by taking the opposite position on any discussion I weigh in on, and reverting various edits that I make. I mention it because they popped up here, and they're particularly hell-bent on forcing what they want onto the lead sentence at Klete Keller, using canvassing and other tactics. That is all. Wes sideman (talk) 16:46, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
- you are a persistent liar , you brought this on all by yourself, anyone can check your vandalism history:
- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=wes+sideman&prefix=Wikipedia%3AAdministrators%27+noticeboard&title=Special%3ASearch&profile=advanced&fulltext=1&ns0=1
- as far as the first sentence goes, it's clear consensus "convicted felon" is a vague contentious label and should never be used in any lead sentence. 2605:59C8:204E:2510:E520:5D9C:C205:D827 (talk) 21:41, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sorry you're feeling harrassed, WS. I have to agree that "is a convicted felon" is just a weird way to describe someone in the first sentence. The lead needed some updating anyway, so I tweaked that too. Valereee (talk) 12:44, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
