[edit]Does anyone know, what flag were flown for the Malayan Union? My understanding is that it was a chaotic stage of the nation building history, dun think that they managed to gazzette a flag or such.

Used a template. Just to show the continuity of the Malaysian history before the formation of Malaysia. Need feedback and more info. Not that much is known about British Malaya. Thanks

sebab-sebab dan ciri-ciri Malayan Union
Yes, this page needs a bit more work; the sebab-sebab and ciri I think we can just take from the KBSM sejarah books. I might do it if I have time to look for my old textbooks.
Flag
[edit]I wrote a comment here but most probably I forgot to save it or something. The flag of the FMS was in use during the Malayan Union time but not as an official flag. As the Union effectively lasted for only two months (it was signed by the Sultans, so it was a legit entity) it was obvious that flags or coats designs were never a priority (the rest of the two years span till the Federation of Malaya, was used by the joint UMNO-Malay Rulers-British committee to work on a new federal structure)

Fair use rationale for Image:Coat of arms of the Federated Malay States.png
[edit]Image:Coat of arms of the Federated Malay States.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Dates
[edit]The Malayan Union ceased to exist on July, 1946.
Surely this should be January, 1948? The Federation of Malaya only came into being then.
