  • I am trying to see that the MorphOS entry is kept objective.
  • I'm nowadays a disappointed HP Pavilion dv9076ea laptop, the mainboard has been replaced twice times, the CPU replaced once and still the laptop don't work properly, one USB broken and random resets, feels like that hardware is from the Zhejiang Province HP-factory which has been shipping broken hardware. HP refuses to honor the Microsoft EULA and refund me.HP uses a hardware locked BIOS, which prevents the laptop from booting if you use another mini-PCIe card than the crappy one that comes with the laptop. HP will claim that the mini-PCIe card you want to use isn't compatible with the laptops hardware, but this isn't true, you can boot your laptop without any mini-PCIe plugged in, when in the operating system, suspend the machine and install your mini-PCIe card, it will work flawlessly until you have to reboot and the laptop won't boot up for the BIOS don't accept your card. If you want to be a happy laptop owner, don't buy HP.

note: In Sep 2010, the overheating problem which all the dv9000 series machines suffers from did take it's toll and the laptop stopped to work (if used a [microsoft] operating system, it would have died a lot earlier). Of course HP ignored it's European customers, they never got the same extended guaranty as the US costumers got. Thanks HP for selling overpriced laptops which don't hold for long.
