Some Issues In The Grammar Of Modern Yoruba A. Afolayan

Possibly non-existent source
[edit]I tagged two references to DELAB International Newsmagazine as needing a better source. After some searching, I can find no evidence that this magazine actually exists. Worldcat has no record of it, and mentions of it are limited to Wikipedia and pages which use Wikipedia as a source. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 08:08, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

Unspecified references
[edit]There are citations of Mumin & Versteegh 2014; Hofheinz 2018, Hunwick 1995, but the complete titles, dates etc are not present in the bibliography. Also, the text says that 'the earliest documented history of the people, which is traced to the latter part of the 17th century, was in the Yoruba language but in the Arabic script'. If such a text as a 17th-century history of the Yoruba people exists, it would be very important and should be mentioned in the article 'Yoruba literature', and it ought to have its own article, too. However, I suspect that this is due to some confusion and that there is no such text. 62.73.69.121 (talk) 15:12, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
