Lisbon Township is a township in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 217 at the 2000 census.

Lisbon Township was organized in 1873.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.7 square miles (92.5 km²), of which 35.7 square miles (92.5 km²) is land and 0.04 square mile (0.1 km²) (0.08%) is water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there were 217 people, 82 households, and 61 families residing in the township. The population density was 6.1 inhabitants per square mile (2.4/km²). There were 84 housing units at an average density of 2.4 per square mile (0.93/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 100.00% White.

There were 82 households, out of which 34.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.3% were married couples living together, 1.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.6% were non-families. 24.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.65 and the average family size was 3.20.

In the township the population was spread out, with 30.0% under the age of 18, 4.6% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 27.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.1% who were 65 years of age or older.
