[edit]Re driving on the left:
"This was inherited from what was then-current Danish practice at the time of annexation, to limit losses of livestock"
I'm curious to know how driving on the left cut down animal deaths. And was it the Danes who saw the connection or something that first occurred to the American incomers? -- Picapica 12:12, 10 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- I find that suspicious too, especially as Denmark always has had right-hand traffic, at least according to our Rules of the road article... 130.238.5.5 15:01, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
September 2009 American Samoa began driving on the left as it was cheaper to import motor vehicles from New Zealand who do drive on the left side. This was the first change since Sweden switched in 1970. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:1C0:4701:4860:9109:FD04:295C:DF8D (talk) 03:49, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
