Old undated,unsigned comments
[edit]Removed this paragraph, which is totally POV and inaccurate, specially taking into accoun that the PNLC does not exist. Xevi 22:11, 26 May 2004 (UTC)
Important figure of ERC (Catalan Independentist Movement), Josep Bargalló got himself in to the Prime Minister department of the powerful Catalan government. Assigned as the succesor of Josep-Lluís Carod-Rovira, Bargalló has sustained the Catalan nationalism in the current government. Before that, he was minister of education.
He is one of the most important ERC members in the Catalan government, along with Pere Esteve and Carod-Rovira, until he was forced to resign by Zapatero, leader of the Spanish Socialist Party in a maneuver that started a political storm in Catalonia, coming specially from the more nationalist organizations, mainly from the PNLC (Partit Nacionalista Liberal de Catalunya).
The ERC link is wrong. It goes to another place which is not the political party
Outdated
[edit]Tagged as outdated because as of 18 July 2011, Bargalló is at any rate not director of the IRL any more. AdeMiami (talk) 16:38, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
