Population Figures

The population figures are really out of whack with reality. Murrysville is not the largest entity in the county. Off the top of my head, I can think of two -- which, coincidentally, aren't even listed in the population chart despite being included in the "townships" section -- that have considerably higher populations: Hempfield Township (40,648, as of 2018 Census figures) and North Huntingdon Township (30,414). The community-level population data clearly needs to be overhauled.

History

I've been assessing a number of Pennsylvania articles and, as far as geographical areas go, I'm typically handing out lower classes to areas with little historical information. Considering the plethora of history to be found in this county (and I say this as some on the east side of the Susquehanna!), I am extremely surprised that there is not even a section for it here. If I get a chance, I'll try and get some information on the mine riots up; but I welcome anyone else to beat me to it (since I suspect I'll procrastinate on this for a long time). --Thisisbossi 09:31, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion of history section

User:Bumblemouse added a 15,455 bytes addition to the history section, which I reverted. Much of the history included topics from before the county was established, and topics which were so broad they should have been added to the state article. The addition is here.
