The years he lived are contradictory... from 1040 on one place and like 600 somewhere else, what's the truth? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.114.183.80 (talk) 10:16, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- Another Arnold/Arnulf, Arnulf of Metz.--Wetman (talk) 14:03, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
First he became abbot, then a priest? Don't know if one could be abbot before being priest. Got a reference? --Kbh3rd 02:41, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- The reference was written that way (a web page...). Probably he was the head of the monks (hence filling the role of the abbot) before his ordination. I'll see if I can dig anything up. Mpolo 07:31, Oct 13, 2004 (UTC)
"This was due to the unknown fact that during the process of brewing, the water used was boiled and thus sanitized."
Could this also have been due to the fact that beer contains alcohol, which helps to kill pathogens otherwise found in water? --Judzillah 22:16, 2005 July 14 (UTC)

"Arnulf of Oudenaard"
[edit]These (other) Arnulfs were quite secular barons. The connection is with Oudenburg not Oudenaard. I've corrected the article and added some footnotes and references.--Wetman (talk) 14:03, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Feast Day
[edit]It is separately listed as July 8 and Aug 14 in the article. I can find very little actual information on him other than this article. Which of these two days is correct?Autkm (talk) 23:47, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
