Talk:Agent Cody Banks (movie)
Why is the {movie} disambiguation necessary? RickK 06:44 5 Jul 2003 (UTC)
It is standard practice. Many movie titles if not already known can be misread as referring to real people, real locations, real events or in other ways cause confusion. The disambigulation is put in so that when what is being talked about is a movie, it is immediately apparent without the reader having to go into the article to check. Many non-Americans resent the use of the American word movie however and increasingly where it is obvious the item is not american, (film) is put in instead, with (movie) used to refer to American motion pictures. But whichever word is used, it is used to provide immediate clarity. FearÉIREANN 06:53 5 Jul 2003 (UTC)
So should all movie articles have the same disambiguation? RickK 06:54 5 Jul 2003 (UTC)
