"No relation!"

[edit]

Okay:

  • Buster and Babs aren't related.
  • I remember one episode showing the rabbit hole where Babs's family lived.

So, where exactly is the evidence for this statement?

"Their massive family with oldest dozens of smaller brothers and sisters, all live with their mother in rabbit holes at Acme Acres."

As they are "no relation," this makes no sense! (And I can't believe I'm getting worked up abouta show I haven't watched in years!) —tregoweth 05:00, Nov 27, 2004 (UTC)

Bugs as Mentor

[edit]

I'm not sure of the best way to put this in the article but I think it deserves mention that, in general, Babs and Buster take after different aspects of Bugs. Babs seems based on the frenetic Bugs who bewilders Elmer with a fast-moving series of costume changes, while Buster is closer to the supremely unruffled Bugs who casually leans upon a rifle pointed at him to say "What's up, doc?". Or something like that, anyway. Daibhid C 23:25, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Split

[edit]

Wouldn't it make sense to split this into two separate pages?

Buster Bunny

[edit]

Would it be safe to say that Buster serves as kind of the straight man role?

Not really. He has his share of wackiness and I remember at least one episode where he defeated the monster of the week by sheer insanity. Whether or not he's straight in comparison to Babs is another matter... --Kizor 17:07, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comparison wise, yes. In fact, that's what I meant.

Why does it say the voice for the japanese version

[edit]

that seems kinda random is all. Neopets R God 01:02, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duncan

[edit]

Duncan wasn't Babs' brother. She was just baby-sitting him in one cartoon.

Maybe you're right. I wonder why Babs babysit him? Who was he really?61.9.126.41 09:23, 16 June 2007 (UTC):[reply]
She was babysitting him either for money or because her parents made her, but he's definitely NOT her brother. Madcapped 13:44, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barbara Anne Bunny

[edit]

According to the article, Bab's real names is Barbara Anne Bunny. I wonder what episode was this revealed? I don't remember. 61.9.126.41 09:21, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

--

Her real name is definately mentioned in the direct to video movie How I Spent My Vacation, and how she hates being called that, but I don't know when it was officially revealled. ((Anonymous user, 28/06/07))

Well if it is shown in an episode or movie regarding Tiny Toons, then that topic is confirmed and acceptable. 61.9.126.41 03:28, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually its Barbara Ann (without the E). Dancing is Forbidden (talk) 04:39, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possible romance

[edit]

'Hints of a possible romance between the two were frequently dropped.'

The line above is stated in the article, however, I feel that they omre than hinted at a romance.

It may be worth adding that most of the time, it was most likely a one-sided romance, especially in earlier episodes, but became two-sided in later episodes.

Babs did make frequent advances on Buster, making him very nervous, ubt Buster did make advances on Babs as well. He has kissed Babs' hand at least twice (once in Prom-ise her anyting and again in How I Spent My Vacation)

They have also shared kisses on the lips, most notibly in Thirteensomething, and nearly had another in Buster and Babs Go Hawaiian.

Babs' eye color

[edit]

I suggest we remove the paragraph about Babs' eyes. I think the thing with her colored contacts was just a gag, to show that they really didn't need to be hunting around the football field because she could see fine anyway.

Besides, in the episodes that show her as a baby, she has blue eyes. No one wears contact lenses that young. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.216.120.72 (talk) 23:11, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Goodnight, Babs!"

[edit]

The "Say goodnight, Babs" / "Goodnight, Babs!" routine is an homage to Burns & Allen. The article states it as being from Rowan & Martin. Fact is, the latter did it as an homage to the former. But in fact, Buster is holding a carrot the same way that George Burns held a cigar when he'd say, "Say goodnight, Gracie," to which Gracie Allen replied, "Goodnight, Gracie!" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.186.48.252 (talk) 22:28, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Two Voice Actors?

[edit]

I noticed that Buster Bunny has two different voice actors: Charlie Adler, who was the initial VA and John Kassir, who assumed the role for the latter part of the third season. I only recently noticed this recently. Does anyone know why the change was made? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.210.82.69 (talk) 07:45, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've heard (and this gets rumor status) that Charlie Adler was upset he was not cast as the voice of Yakko in the Animaniacs and left Tiny Toons as a result of ill feelings toward the staff. Ki11meshining (talk) 15:04, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have put a section about the two voice actors for Buster, and I haven't talked about it. I got all of the information from an interview with Tom Rugger http://www.platypuscomix.net/people/ruegger2.html . Cartoonbook (talk) 10:48 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Removing POV tag on Babs Bunny section

[edit]

The section "Babs Bunny" has a POV tag. The tag was added without comment by an anonymous user in June 2007 and nobody has expressed any concern about the neutrality of that section. Since this tag has been up for almost twos year without anyone providing a reason, I am removing it. Elliotreed (talk) 06:00, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pantsless Males, Fully Dressed Females Trope with Buster and Babs

[edit]

Buster obviously wears a long sleeve shirt and gloves, without pants. The Tv Tropes also adds Babs Bunny's picture as she was claimed to be a fully-dressed even though she wears a long sleeve, skirt, and two pigtails, she is still pantsless and is rarely wearing any underpants.

Have they really adverted the trope? Should they change the picture to like Bugs and Lola, since they are the true straight trope of this regarding one trope itself?

You should check it on TvTropes.com to see Buster and Babs as you type in the trope for yourself. I don't hate the trope but I am only curious if it can be a very accurate trope to be fitting in with the two characters. SonicTV64 (talk) 07:03, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
